Re: Knowing Knowledge Workforce...

Chandu,

Interesting discussion!

1. Do you consider yourself part of Knowledge Workforce? [Yes/No]

Yes

If you answered No, relax. We will get back to you later.
Else, please do answer the following:

2. What label do you like? [Knowledge Worker/Knowledge Professional]

(I do realize that all labels are bad. However, for this discussions
sake!)

Knowledge Professional

3. What is your strongest point? [One only please.]

Professional is always looking for some thing more, never stop learning.

4. What is your weakest point? [One only again. Not that you have more.
Saying weakest points may be oxymoronic!]

Job should be part of life but these days it’s becoming life.

5. What is holding you back from reaching your full potential? [If you
think you are in such a situation?]

Have mortgage to pay so need keep Management happy, like it or not.

Folks,

Couple of our members wanted to discuss various issues involving
"Knowledge Workforce (KW)". They wanted to start discussing how best to
manage such a workforce?

I think first of all we need to undestand what this KW is all about and
how it works. In that direction, I need your input and observations
about KW.

I think I know the difference between a worker and a professional. I strive to be a professional.

Getting irritated easily.

Mismatch between management expectations and personal skills/expectations.
